Phurba Tashi

Sirdar - Lead Expedition Sherpa

Phurba was born in 1971 and lives in Khumjung, Nepal, at the foot of Mt Everest. He has now worked on 14 Everest expeditions for our partners, Himalayan Experience, and has been to the summit of Everest 19 times, Cho Oyo 5 times, Ama Dablam and Manaslu 2 times, and Shishapangma and Lhotse 1 time each. He is lead sherpa on all of our Himalayan expeditions, and a huge asset to our teams. Phurba is famous in the Everest Valley for his strength at altitude. Lucky for us, he is also a master at organizing expedition logistics and a lot of fun to be with in the mountains.
