Jaime and Gordon will spend the night at base camp before returning to Huaraz after climbing to the summit of Alpamayo yesterday! They felt strong during their nine hour day despite the 5 hours of snowy weather they endured on their climb. We look forward to hearing a detailed account of their climb and will share it here as soon as possible.

The Alpamayo team has decided to wait out some weather at high camp. The forecast shows snow showers through tonight and then clearing by Tuesday morning. They have not yet decided whether to depart for the summit late tonight or to wait another day. They will do their best to let us know their plan prior to departure.
