What a season in Peru this year! The whole team is down safely, and Adrian and Josh had a perfect summit of Quitaraju and are happy to be back in camp, drinking hot drinks. They will start heading down on their mules later today and then they get to celebrate in Huaraz!

I just heard from Adrian and the team left for the summit in the middle of a huge storm in ‘full-on’ conditions at 11:30 am and just arrived back at camp (10 pm) and are sitting having hot drinks. All good news from Peru!

The team has made it to basecamp of Alpamayo at 13,500 ft. on a bright and cloudless day. Adrian reported that there is lots of snow up high, so he is optimistic that the route is in great condition. They will take a rest day tomorrow and then head up to Moraine camp the day after. In the mean time, the team is healthy and strong and enjoying the cooking of the famous Alfredo!
