After two extremely successful programs in January (Ecuador and Argentina), our clients and guides have gone their separate ways. Callum returned to real life in California, Nik is enjoying a little more time in Mendoza, Jacques has headed to Tierra del Fuego, and Jaime is en route home to Ecuador! Their last day in Argentina together, Jaime, Jacques and Nik had a relaxing day on horseback....

The Alpenglow Team is back in Mendoza, and has been celebrating with all the good treats Argentina has to offer - especially great Malbec and big steaks. They'll spend the next day or two realxing and recovering from their summit before they say goodbye and begin their trips home.

The team is back in basecamp (Plaza de Mulas) enjoying Cokes and homemade pizza from our local cook. Last night was cold and windy at high camp so the group was especially excited to get down. They timed their summit perfectly on the last calm day before big winds came to Aconcagua. Just a very quick post to let family, friends, and blog followers know that our Aconcagua team has summited in excellent conditions and they felt great on the summit. We will be back with more later. Congrats Jacques, Nik, and Jaime!

We just chatted with the Alpenglow Aconcagua team and they are getting ready to summit! The strong team has taken full advantage of perfect weather and is in their top camp at just below 6,000 meters. They moved today from Camp II to Camp III, taking less than 3 hours for the climb from 5,300 meters.
Reports are that it's windy outside, but clear and looking good for a possible summit tomorrow...
