All Summit Mount Everest!

Climb Everest I just got off the phone with an elated Adrian from Camp IV at the South Col. He and all of those remaining on the Himex team have just summited Mount Everest! After high winds turned many teams around from summit bids yesterday, today was lining up to be quite busy. With Phurba Tashi and Adrian breaking trail and a very strong Himex team behind them, the Sherpas were able to short rope the members, passing the lineup on the fixed ropes, and enabling the Himex team to enjoy the summit without the crowd. They are all safely down at Camp IV to rest a bit and plan to continue on to Camp II, where they will spend a night. Congrats to all! We'll be back with more soon....

For all of you: congratulations!!!! Renee, we zij trots op je en spreken elkaar na je terugkomst in Nederland! Geweldig! Heb gisteren nog contact gehad mt Ietje. Marianne (en namens Kiek, die aan het motorrijden is in Italie en iedere dag op de hoogte wilde blijven van je vorderingen en die vanmorgen al voor 8 uur wilde weten hoe het gegaan was)

Congratulations for the whole Himex-Team Rene, want wij begrijpen dat je ook afhankelijk bent van je team. Diedje heeft je bloemen in ontvangst genomen: de Gloriosa. Vlammend rode bloem met saffraangeel langs de randen van de kroonbladen. Op jullie overwinning hebben wij van de asperges uit de apotheek genoten.
