Alpenglow Foundation: Help Nepal

In the wake of the April 25 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal, Alpenglow Expeditions developed the Alpenglow Foundation, which we will use to donate money to rebuild our Sherpa’s homes and to support future aid projects in Nepal. Alpenglow is happy to have a foundation we can use to support projects in the countries where we work. Every year, our guides spend months on the ground with locals while guiding expeditions and treks. We know where help is most needed and Alpenglow can ensure that funds go directly to that need.

If you wish to contribute to the Alpenglow Foundation:

1. Send a check directly to the Alpenglow Foundation, PO Box 3122, Olympic Valley, CA 96146. Please make the check out to the Alpenglow Foundation.

2. Directly deposit funds into the Alpenglow Foundation Wells Fargo account. Please send an email to info@alpenglowexpeditions.com for account details to complete your wire transfer if you do choose to make a donation in this way.

3. You can donate by credit card at paypal.com, to email address info@alpenglowexpeditions.com. 

All Paypal and wire transfer fees, along with any overhead of the foundation, will be absorbed by Alpenglow Expeditions. Currently donations are not tax-deductible but 100% of any donation will go to the Sherpa, their families, and rebuilding their homes. Most of our Sherpa have extensive damage to their houses in the small mountain town of Phortse. If you would like to help, we would very much appreciate your donation. As we work with our Sherpa to rebuild, we will be posting and sharing photos, stories, and updates of the progress.

Whether it is $10 or $10,000, give what you can through the Alpenglow Foundation or any aid organization you trust. And plan a trip. The mountains are still there, and starting this fall the people will need your business more than ever.
