Great Progress and Weather on Ama

Two mountaineers navigating a glacier on a Gasherbrum II Expedition

The team moved up to Yak Camp yesterday and then made a move to Camp 1 this morning with plans of remaining there for the rest of the day to acclimatize. The goal for tomorrow is to have the entire group move up to Camp 2, drop some gear, and move back to Camp 1 for the night. All members will be heading back to Base Camp on the morning of the 31st for a few days of rest before the summit push. Brian will leave Base Camp to join the the team tomorrow morning and he and Adrian will work on tearing down old lines between C1 and C2 through the 31st. Everyone is doing great and working hard up high. The Sherpa have been busy fixing lines between the upper camps and preparing to dig Camp 2.7. This afternoon all camps should be in and the upper mountain should be close to being totally fixed. The team is on track with currently perfect weather and a good forecast on the horizon. We’ll be back with more soon!
