The Matchstick Productions team is heading higher, positioning themselves for Quitaraju and Alpamayo.

The whole team, including the cameramen, spent a couple of days in basecamp practicing their glacier skills before making their way to Moraine Camp at 16,000′, where they will all sleep tonight. Adrian, James Heim, and Sam Anthamatten were planning to bring their skis up to Col Camp at 18,000′ today to find a better view of the two objectives and to get in some turns. Word has it that there is quite a bit of good snow up there and there might be some “powder-ish” skiing to be had!

Stay tuned for more and to see how the mountains are presenting themselves for the ultimate task at hand…skiing!
