At Moraine Camp

Two mountaineers navigating a glacier on a Gasherbrum II Expedition

Latest update via Satellite Phone:

“Everyone has made it successfully up to Moraine Camp at 16,000ft. This is the beginning of the massive glacier. Up to now we have been climbing on rock, but from here on up Alpamayo is pure ice. Time for us to break out the ice axes! Happy to report that everyone is happy and healthy, with no signs of sickness. Tomorrow we plan on heading on up to the Col Camp, hoping for a summit on Tuesday, July 21st. Stay tuned for more updates soon!”
