Another update from the Ecuador team just in. Jaime and Daniel summited Illiniza Norte two days ago. They spent one night at the Illinizas hut and completed their climb to 16,818 foot summit the following day. Congratulations! After a brief rest and celebration in Chilcabamba they made their way to Cotopaxi National Park where they spent today acclimatizing and practicing glacier skills on the mountain.

The team is now back down at Tambopaxi (3,750 meters), and are ready for their summit bid. Their plan is to climb up to the Cotopaxi hut tomorrow and then go for their summit push the following day. Will post more news when they return!
