climb Everest

The Lhotse team reached the summit this morning! Three members (Jing, Liang and Billi) two sherpa (Phurba Tashi and Tashi Tsering) and guides Adrian and Narly stood on the summit together between 4:30am and 5:30am on May 26th. They left C4 at 1am and climbed in good conditions the entire route. They were lucky to have a warm and wind free day and almost no rock on the couloir. "It has snowed so much this season it was mostly perfect neve," said Adrian. Congratulations to the team!

The Lhotse team is well on their way! They left Camp 2, heading to C3 and are on track for a summit on May 26th. Adrian took an extra day of rest after his Everest team summit and left early at 5am this morning for C2. He'll skip C3 and go directly to C4 tomorrow to join the group. Lhotse C4 is located at approx 7800 meters, below the couloir on the Lhotse face. They will all meet there and get ready for the team summit push.

The Everest team arrived at Camp 3 today after a full rest day at Camp 2. According to Adrian, "they are all moving well and the weather is looking great!" There is some wind up high but they expect conditions to improve for their final push. The goal is to head up to Camp 4 tomorrow and from there to the top! Adrian and the team are scheduled to reach the summit on May 20th.

Adrian checked in from Camp 2 last night as the Everest team moves its way up for their summit bid. This is a quick turnaround for Adrian who recently returned from fixing the route! He said "everyone is doing well and the weather looks great." After a cold morning through the icefall, they were warming up in their tents and getting ready for lunch. The team will rest at Camp 2 tomorrow and then continue on to Camp 3 from there. They should be in position for their summit attempt in the next few days. Stay tuned for more updates!
